What is Zoe Bios?
Zoe is a life that rarely dies, like our DNA.
Bios is like you and me, we perish.
What is this website and/or project about?
A discovery. This is a new agnostic theory, and a book in the making.
It’s a family saga — about all the lives that made up one. The making of a universal myth; a story seen through the mysterious lens of DNA Memory. A fresh theory told by a young and curious thirty-something who leaves behind a comfortable way of life to go on an epic journey around the world. On an indefinite solo journey, a modern vision quest.
The protagonist wearing the Zoe Bios mask is a social theorist with an imaginative twist, an innovator with a philosophic vision; jumping, bumping and venturing along a DNA trek to Italy, Sweden, the UK, Germany, France and finally Israel, Egypt and South East Africa — using the journey, research, and past to examine the present, this life.
The book unveils a challenging question and answer series. A discovery of all the lives that made up one, pulling out to examine each thread and weaving it back into a newly designed tapestry.
What can the future hold?
Zoe Bios is plotting questions and seeking answers:
In retracing what I can of all the lives that lived up to mine, through ancient history to modern times, could I discover my DNA memory? And if so, could this discovery produce a better understanding of the how and why of my life?
Could these possible fresh understandings enable me to make changes to my own DNA, for the better – polishing the positives and smoothing over rougher edges?
What role does luck play in all of this? Could a randomness exist in DNA Memory expression, negatively or positively affecting the evolution of each life?
Modern DNA science suggests most, if not all, humans are from Africa or the Middle and Central/Near East. What does this mean in terms of our global and/or human understanding? Is that answer relevant to this project?
What is the ‘American Dream’? How has it affected my DNA Memory compared to other groups of people? How do national/cultural movements affect people throughout history? Do these events leave an imprint in our DNA Memory? Is it significant?
Is it possible to leave a more enlightened DNA Memory to my children?
The reader may naturally inquire why someone would leave all they knew and take this journey into the unknown?
The details are discussed, in time, via traveling, with articles and essays on this website, and story driven in the coming book.
The book is a discovery. This website is not the book, rather a discussion leading up to the publishing of the discovery, leaving a trail of the journey. Giving insight into the author’s mind, surroundings and point of view.
The first-time writer openly shares the excitement and distress of the process. You, the reader, just being here, are helping. And if you take the time to make a comment or drop a note of wisdom, fact or relevant knowledge or share a post of interest with friends, you’re taking part in the journey, and in doing so, helping in the discovery.

Excellent. Very thought-provoking. So much to look at. I could spend hours/days getting lost in this. Reminds so much of my “mis-spent youth” in Europe…some of the best times of my life. Enjoy these days, soak every bite up. Congrats on wonderful work.
Very intellectual, thought-provoking writing with a healthy dose of mystic and a sense of expectation of what is to come – especially the book. I think it’s great. There is a lot in what you have already written and I can certainly see the makings of a very powerful book. Most of all I must applaud you for taking the plunge (‘Jump-start’) to do this project. I admire what you’re doing. One of my favourite quotes is, ‘The average person goes to his grave with his music still in him’ – Oliver Wendell Holmes. Wonderful melody, your lyrics!! Wish you all the success in your genomic trek!!
